The young man has a "motor" that just doesn't quit. I can still remember his amazing triple at the Stanford Invite a couple of years ago that took place less than 2 days from a dual-meet in which he LJ'd 24 feet. Glad to see that he is enjoying life up in Eugene with Coach Steele. Here's hoping that he stays healthy and his training goes really well for him! reply

David Klech Interview

In 2006, David Klech finished 2nd in the high school track and field athlete of the year voting. In addition to being the nation's fastest 300 hurdler (35.43 - #4 all-time), he demonstrated incredible range over several events (110HH - 13.59, 400H - 50.35, 800 - 1:53, LJ - 24-07w, HJ - 7-00). After a challenging year at UCLA, Klech transferred to the University of Oregon where he is looking to regain his form under coach Dan Steele.
