Jordan Hasay just finished 4th in the 1500. This girl is so talented and it looks like she needs a dose of strength speed training because she has no turnover. The africans gapped her, she could have cought the 3th place finisher from Kenya. Jordan has no turnover, her arms don't come up so her stride is not openening up either. Somebody needs to work with this girl, otherwise her talent is going to be wasted. She needs some Jenny Barringer turnover...crap, I hate that Jordan didn't medal.

hasay's race looked like that because u.s. distance is waaaaaaayyyyyy below that of african and european countries

4:56 for the first 1600, 3:59 for the last 1400. That must have looked like one big accordion in the last couple of laps. I don't think Emily and Jordan were 20 seconds behind the pack for all seven plus laps. The real race was run over the last 2 1/2 laps. I'd like to see the splits for the last 800. That's where the speed was in this race.

Jordan just always amazes me how classy and mature she is regardless of the situation.
Some older athletes could learn a lot from Jordan.

Another PR, even in a purely tactical race (first mile 4:56.4). She ended up running in 9th place, a 9:15.78, with Emily Sisson right behind her in 10th place, 9:16.80, also a PR. USA Team Co-Captain Jordan Hasay is booked for the 1500, round 1 on Fri 9am, Final Sun 2:15pm. She PR'd at the Nike Track Nationals on July 2nd with a 4:13.85. Emily Sisson hasn't decided yet but will likely run the 5K as a second event, final on Wed 8:30pm. She PR'd in April at the Kansas Relays with a 16:22.44 (#7 in the US all-time, high school).
