currently not taking classes. ncaa allows athletes to train for olympics and not lose redshirt. galen could turn pro in a heartbeat -- but, he's got his mind set to come back and finish what he started at oregon. that includes winning the individual cross country championship and as a team again, and then next year is shaping up to be the best oregon mens TF team in decades.

Responding to distanceking... I'm pretty sure he is just taking a break to focus on an Olympic year. I'm fairly certain he's redshirting. It'd be pretty crazy trying to focus on college and training for the Olympics, I'd imagine.

It's described correctly. It was his first race at HAYWARD since last year when he was on the Ducks.

his debut race wasn't at hayward.. it was at the millrose games in the wanamaker mile.. he went 4:02

Good to finally hear something from this kid, haven't seen him since xc nationals. But I guess I just imagined him wearing some pimp nike uniform we have never seen instead of that big bird looking yellow one he had on.
