Flotrack was LIVE on site at Stanford on May 4 for the 2008 Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational. The 2008 Payton Jordan Invite was an amazing meet with all the top American runners and even Craig Mottram of Australia and Mo Farah from Great Britain. Shalane Flanagan broke the American record for the 10k and Kim Smith broke the New Zealand 10k record. My friends and i are horrified at the way flotrack announcers are so unprepared for these events, unable to recognize any of the athletes and making mistake after mistake announcing these races. when will you learn that just taping these races is not enough that you have to understand the sport more? I am very concerned that you represent track (not field)in this way. Please explain. Jack. reply

You guys sound like you are having a lot of fun while you are shooting your race footage. Keep up the great work and thanks for the videos. reply
#1	Mike_x   May 6, 2008 at 10:39pm I'm impressed with Alicia Follmer's 4:21.25 12th place finish. After the train wreck she was involved in at the Penn Relays DMR(spiked in the head, badly bruised hip), she had to be hurting through the prep time for this race. I've never seen anyone back up and in the race again that fast considering her injuries. reply
