The last two laps of the front pack/leader were about 68 and 59, which screams tactical. You don't have to have a fast race to have a good race.

tamrunner12 is right, very very slow state 1600m. everyone in the texas state meet could have whooped the 4A florida state champ

actually i don't know of many states that have a qualifying race for the 1600m at the state race, maybe sectionals the week before but not state. aa, you should get your facts straight, not strait.

im a freshman running a 4:33 and 2:02 id be happy to kick you you prick  tamurunner12, and shut the up thier is usally a qulifing race to get into the finals so get your facts strait

the race was definitely tactical..considering a few of those guys had run faster at their regional race the week before..and at least 3 of those guys have PR of under 4:20...it was also a little windy..

maybe aa is the dumbass who probably has never set foot on a tack and realized that "prelims" are the district and regional meets weeks before the state meet. Thsi is HS track not the olympics...dumbass!

maybe more of a tactical race.  the last quarter was 59 so he definitely had some left

4:21 is pretty SLOW for a 4A state final, go to california or texas and see what that gets you.
