Great Guy   June 17, 2008 at 10:48am
A coach who will remain Nameless asked him at the OSU Jamboree. So are you mad they took your National Titles away? "No, They can take them. I don't give a " Greatest Coach of all time without a doubt. And he should of been asked to be the head coach of the U.S. Not Bubba

John McDonnell, Part 1

John McDonnell just finished his coaching career this past weekend at the NCAA Championships where his team finished 17th. McDonnell has brought everyone in the track & field community many great memories throughout the years that we are all thankful for. I got to sit down with Coach McD in Fayetteville and talk about his experiences over the years. We met at IHOP so excuse the background noise of people eating, but thats how great Coach is....takes time out of his evening to meet you at IHOP for coffee and chat about his experiences, great guy!

Part 1 goes through how Coach McDonnell started coaching, his first race at age 18, and coming to America for the first time.

So I made it, finally in AUSTIN!! My journey led me to a new destination with each passing day. New people, new places, new workouts...it was a blast

My goal was to bring you as much as I could over the month or so I was out on the road. I started up in Maine (at my parents') back in April and journey down to TX. There is plenty of cool stuff out there that I didn't get to see, but that just motivates me for the future and all that we can bring to you here on Flotrack.

I have some more stuff that will be coming out so keep watching. Feel free to let me know what you think so we can get more of what you love in the future!

I hope you enjoy and thanks for all your support alone the way!
