I love the first show! Keep it coming! I appreciated the news from European track the most.
I have a few suggestions:
--Learn more about lighting and sound. I didn't look at Kevin's commentary much because I couldn't see his face I skipped the first third of Shannon Rowbury's interview because I couldn't hear it well.
--Pay attention to the NCAA team competition, as well as the individual events & competitors.
--Cover one or two events from outside the US each week.
When i heard Kevin's voice in interviews, I always had a picture of him with glasses, nerdy, and annoying. Guess he doesn't look that way. I agree wiht emmers_x, he must have an understanding wife.
That Kevin Selby!! He must have a really understanding wife. I hear he has fast kids..maybe he can feature them sometime. Love the idea! Keep up the good work guys.
This is a great idea and great show. One recommendation I can think of off the top of my head, is to have better lighting. I guess you need it to be dim for the projector, but if there's a way to light up the set a bit more that would make it look much better. As for everything else, comments have been made about them already.
Thank You for giving us an opportunity to see race videos of meets we could not attend or that are not televised. The network broadcasts often don't show the event we most wish to see. I wish you could webcast every meet. We can only hope! The interviews are great and give us a different look at the athletes that we cannot get from the stands. Someone asked if you had paying jobs. If this one doesn't, then it really should because you do great work. Wishing you much success. Thanks
awesome! Maybe you should do some segments within the show. Like "now to the high school scene; German Fernandez breaks national record." Do a college, elite... etc.
Nice job Kevin and Kip. We track nuts needed a show like this, and it is only going to get better as you two gain experience in producing it.
I watched Shannon win the CA state high school meet as a junior and knew that she was a quality talent. It's nice to see that she's also a quality person, as is Coach Tegen. It is sad to see him leave Stanford.
yeah your gonna wanna get alotta info on that ur next episode, that would be awesome, great job guys i really like the lil series yall keep putting out, keep em coming!
Great piece, I would to see a spot on some great runners who for whatever reason left the sport, Amber Trotter, Erin Sulivan, Katlyn Kaltenbach and so on. What are they doing today, and what they think about thier running experiences, now years later.
i would love to see more fam interviews, hes the man right now. maybe some dan lincoln too. especially some steeple workouts, those would be really interesting.
I think it would be cool if ya'll interviewed Leonel Manzano and ask him about his goals this year, and what he is looking forward to after leaving U Texas this year....
...but not quite "the hottest thing going in female distance running in the US". I think Shalane shattering the 10k record is a much bigger event.
Shannon's great result was a surprise so I suppose she is hotter in the sense that she's on the rise?
there is so much i would like to see on this channel but i just want to say this is a great idea. flotrack does it again, really revolutionizing the sport and how others view it.
She looks incredibly buff. It's great to see such a hard worker succeed at this level. Humble and intelligent too. What a great representative for our country. Keep it up Shannon.
Great show. We've heard Kevin a lot...good to finally see him. I agree Kevin's delivery was a tiny bit rough at times but it's early days...the nerves will settle next time...I most CERTAINLY do not think that actors would help!!! (unless for some reason they are also rabid track fans)...if you go down that road you end up with the track coverage that the networks provide...next thing you know we'd cut out race coverage and replace it with heart rending montages of athletes personal lives. No thanks...
Flotrack all the way!
Wayne's World... excellent! party time! weeoooh weeeoooh weeeoohhh! I can't wait for 4-5 years from now when this is ESPN SportsCenter quality and they do a "Clip Show" of the old episodes. Awesome new feature. Love to see it keep going.
Kevin you are doing an awsome job. We know you didn't go to broadcasting school. This idea is brilliant. all of these people making comments are retarded. It just takes time to get better, look how far flotrack has come. Keep it up Kevin because of Mark and guys like you we get to see a sports center style show now. No more need for letsrun anymore
great idea: weekly hits regarding where/what to watch -- especially international stuff. (Although the overhead projector reminds me of ninth-grade biology class). It should nicely offset the weekly workout piece -- which I've come to look forward to. Also, in lieu of recent press-cred rejections, this should fill in nice with look-backs and hilites. Somebody is bound to catch the brilliance and eventually the PR/media hacks at these meets/USATF will see what they could've had first-hand.
just one suggestion would be to practice it more before filming or doing some kind of thing that you read off like people in the news do. other than that this is sweet.

But again, great job and I love the idea.
