Peter Gilmore was born in Santa Monica, California went to college in Berkley and finished second at the California International Marathon with a huge PR of 2:14:02. Gilmore was a Pac 10 scorer on three separate occasions in the 10,000 meters. After a solid, but not by any means spectacular college career, Gilmore jumped on with the Farm Team in Palo Alto. Gilmore left the track orientated, Farm Team to pursue the roads and for the most part a Olympic trials marathon qualifying time. Gilmore qualified for the trials in his first marathon when he ran a 2:21:48 at the 2002 Chicago Marathon. 2004 was a great year for Gilmore as he finished second at the California International and finished 8th at the 2004 Olympic Trials. Peter has run the Boston Marathon multiple times, his first experience was cut short by the heat and he had to drop out. In 2005 Gilmore finished an impressive 10th and came back the next year in 2006 to top his 2005 finish to place 7th and set a new PR of 2:12.
