Nick made the right move to go with the Gold medalist from Athens. He ran smart, stayed out of trouble, with all the pushing going on up front,he could get tripped. One thing I would correct though, and that is he needs to be much closer to the front with 150 to go.He's got plenty of time to work on that.Gags made the comment about that at the Boston meet.In world class races overseas they all have the same kind of speed or better.I could see him getting a medal next year if he can get under 1:44.

anyone who says that nick is cocky obviously has never met him or raced against him. I ran at a bunch of DIII meets with him and he is a great guy. He is competitive but after any race he is just another guy. This interview is just Nick on Cloud 9, he just beat an olympic champion.

Am i the only person that _doesn't_ enjoy "brash cockiness?" Confidence? Yes. Extreme competitive drive? Yes. But let your races do the talking. Cockiness is for those who don't think it's gonna last. That being said... I don't think Nick was overtly cocky in this interview. Now, Buster on the other hand...

Great Race. Aaron your wrong to think this guy does not have talent. You don't run 1:44 on hard work.

Pre had that same brash cockiness and will to succeed. Fans eat this up. We want to see guys like this take their sport and career seriously. DIII to beating the best in the world? Gotta feel pretty good. Nice race. I jumped out of my seat when I saw it.

This guy is so outstandingly inspirational. I think this goes to show that hard work beats big talent when talent doesn't work hard enough. Keeps me sticking with it to see guys like him succeeding.
