OMG that is the most baller sh!t I've ever seen. From all the tags I knew Merber won, but even as they were coming off the final turn I was like, "There's no way..........HOLY SH!t!!!" anyways - AWESOME RACE!

So What?   February 26, 2008 at 5:25pm
He closed in like 62-63, last 200 was maaaybe 28.5 TOPS. Don't know where the last 100 starts. Sure that's quick but tons of guys do it every year, many off of faster paces and in longer races. It's easy to catch someone in the last 200 when that guy only runs a 33.

Sorry to interrupt the worship, but there are countless highschool-age kids in Ethiopia and Kenya who can run Merber's Nike mile pace for 5K. 4:16 is a good high school time, but it's hardly worth freaking out about, sheesh.
