hey anonymous, think before you type, Rupp signed for Nike, he signed a $250,000 deal. Alberto is part of the Oregon Project and is a "Employee" of Nike so therefore he does not get paid by Rupp's parents! Get it right beofre you assume!!

Ease off the personal comments. BS like unfounded dopping charges, calling him a girl scout. Come on folks, he is a great talent he was strong as a highschooler and now at Oregon. stop hating so much be proud that we have so many talent young runners now.

There are plenty of NCAA athletes in the past who went out and ran in Europe, off the top of my head I know Cheseret did a few years ago. Solinsky was talking about it last year and decided not too.

He's rupp he s going to get special attention, Webb and Ritz have also always recieved a little more attention because of there natural talent. They have all the pressure of making american track look good. I believe!

His parents pay for Alberto's coaching, and his European races. In fact there was an article a few weeks ago, about how they took out a second mortgage on their home to pay for it all.

Anyone who gets as must support away from his college team, should make the US team, You dont see any other NCAA eligible athletes talking about the European season, Whom wonder who is paying for all these trips, Sure is not Vinny
