Great race!
Terrence received the most votes (48), Mark had 38 votes and the lowest average predicted time (1:58.7). Yewer got 17 votes so obviously has the best poker face.
Kastor got had only 18 votes to win so his ice ploy threw most off the trail. "Unionrun" was close with Kastor to win in 2:00.22 (.52 seconds high). I haven't found anyone closer than my (admitted guess) of 1:59.21 (0.49 seconds low). Maybe someone on the videos got it closer but I don't think so.
Oh yah, "State U" had Kastor ahead of the other 3 named runners in 1:59.8x but placed his bet on the Mystery man (no show) for the win...
Mark you're the judge but I'm thinking T-shirt! I take large.
Loved the trash talk. Should be fun to watch.

Thanks for the coverage of the European season and all the thing FloTrack does.
I know it may be hard, but can you possibly catch a Alan Webb work-out.Man that would be super.I'm just curious too see what kind of speed work he does and strength work to be able to hold the pace and run 56 secs for the last 400.Thanks a lot.
All of you have missed it! Andrew Kastor even told you how he's going to win it! The time is irrelevant, Kastor will sit and kick of any pace and win by five strides (2:02.22 just for the t-shirt). Don't you guys know who he is related to?!?
My cous, Andrew Kastor's going to take home the win in 2:03.17. He's got the BLLLLOOOOODDDD ....the hungry Kastor blood flowin' through those Narly Veins! I would like a Medium Shirt please, thank you.
(i know its not going to be that close buts its just for fun....right??!!!)
1.Yewer 2:00.5- win for the uk and flynn sports!!!
2.Kastor 2:00.8
3.Mark 2:00.9
4.Mahon 2:01.2
mark i like you, you look good in the work out with kim, but Terrence acutully did a race or too so he have a race under his belt right now.. i Go FOR TERRENCE in 1:55.55
No doubt Terrence is fit, but can he outlast Mark's speed? My money says no. Andrew is the darkhorse, but I did see him shopping for some Aquarius the other day so he'll at least be well-hydrated. Brad, well... I know he had a great (shoeless?) training camp recently, and he talks a big game, but I think he'll struggle the last 150.
I stay with Mark the Waffle King, his track work-out with Kim Smith was so cool!
Mmm, for the t-shirt, I hope they will go out fast (like Deena predicts) and than Mark's finishing kick will bring him victory at 1.56.34. I'll collect the shirt Saturday in Heusden :-P
Andrew's "foot icing" was staged to throw off his competition as well as predictions. We are in Monte Carlo and if I can keep him away from rum cakes, I have him winning in 2:00.2 The pace will go out too fast and the last 200 will be the ugliest in all of history!
Your film is like a video promo for Flynn Management. Mark, Ray should have paid for your ticket. You have done tons to humanize his athletes for the track and field community.
Hate to bet against my own Bro, but I think even I have a faster 800 PR than him (and that ain't saying much believe me)...so:
1. Kastor and Flotrack founder for the virtual tie in 1:58.9(Kastor with official win because Deena will probably be the finish line official).
3. Terrence: 1:59.1
4. Yewer: 2:02.3
If it goes out fast, Terrence in 1:59 high. If it goes out slow, Mark in 1:55. Next year my money's on Louie Quintana (that's right, Louie, I'm calling you out), so y'all better watch out...
I'll go with Mark in 1:56.93. He looked pretty pissed at the end of the Kim Smith workout clip and something tells me he'll not only have flats for this one, but he might even wear spikes.
I should pick Mark the Waffle King. That practice with Kim Smith was really impressive. Mahon looked a bit tired after his 2.03/800 pacing job in Brasschaat and that was in ideal conditions. Not quite sure what the others can do, but waffles are good fuel to run fast :-)
Flotrack Lueven 800 Video is Here.
The Leuven 800 - July 27th at 14:00 the highlight of the summer! Some people think I came over just to get Alan Webb's race at history, but that is not the case. I came over to Europe for one reason, the Leuven 800. Terrence Mahon has been talking a lot of trash since we met in Boston for the marathon. Andrew Kastor has been keeping it low key with secret workouts in the middle of the night and Brad Yewer forgot to take his training shoes to Greece. Anyway the race is on Friday and I want your guys predictions. Who do you think is going to win and in what time? Talk to you guys later.
If you get the winner and are the closest with the time I will send you a Flotrack shirt. July 24, 2007
I am going to be traveling in Europe covering a lot of meets and interviewing lots of people. Bookmark this page or get this RSS feed to follow my journey around.

Depends a lot on the first lap. Slow race could go to Yewer, but Terrence should keep it honest. Kastor is the dark horse favorite.
