If you pay attention, you'll note that Ray Flynn is in this race--He is now Alan Webb's agent, and appears in the Flotrack video of Webb's record race.

Obviously it was just an invisible steve scott running the race. What kind of question is that?

Why was Webb chasing Steve Scott's ghost. Did Scoot pass on to the great track in the sky? Or was it a reference to an invisable Steve Scott running in this race.

excellent race, only if Scott could have leaned forward at the end for the record. but, his running style was always straight up and down

Andy, don't be dumb. They didn't add the mile for competition purposes, they added the mile simply so that AWebb could break the American Record. I think that is bigger than worrying about field quality.

So, are they running both the mile and the 1500m at today's meet? That's what it sounds like: "...kind enough to ADD a mile." If so, doesn't that merely dilute the field in both events? Am I missing something?

When you say that Webb will take to the track at 9 p.m. local time is that local Belgium time or U.S. time?
