Actually I know a lot about high level running. Not pros but NCAA d1 nationals is pretty high in most people's minds. Winning a low key race is what you supposed to do. Would you agree with that comment? If you agree that beating college students is what you are expected to do then what else are you trying to do? I would think that it would be running a fast time, but maybe there are other goals, I dont know. I would just assume that running fast would be a top priority, not beating people he knows he will beat.

You know NOTHING about high leve running.
You are juvenile.
I would be willing to be anything that when a pro runner finishes a race they do not kick themselfe around the track when they do not run a projected time.
Go back to LetsRun.com and talk about jogging--or the marathon. ZZzzzzzz....

In a low key race basically all he cares about is his time. You think a gold medalist cares about beating a bunch of college students?

Do you think he really cares what his PR is? All that matters is where you finish.
Do you think the Olympic Gold Medalist hits his wrist watch at the gun and as he crosses the line? NO.
Don't be stupid.
