About Brad Yewer
The Flotrack Leuven 800. July 27th at 14:00 the highlight of the summer! Some people think I came over just to get Alan Webb's race at history, but that is not the case. I came over to Europe for one reason, the Leuven 800. Terrence Mahon has been talking a lot of trash since we met in Boston for the marathon. Andrew Kastor has been keeping it low key with secret workouts in the middle of the night and Brad Yewer forgot to take his training shoes to Greece. Anyway the race is on Friday and I want your guys predictions. Who do you think is going to win and in what time? Talk to you guys later. If you get the winner and are the closest with the time I will send you a Flotrack shirt. Goto this page to enter your predictions.
Leuven race management has just informed us that there looks to be a mystery guest added to the mens 800 field. While race management is in Monaco for the Herculis GP they spoke with the mystery guests sports agent to secure the deal. Negotiations on travel and appearance fee (rumored to be Belgian beer) are being finalized as of press time. The mystery runner, who wishes to remain anonymous until race time, fits all the events qualifying criteria.
1. Entrant must be a "has been" or "wanna-be".
2. Has run fast, but is not currently in top shape.
3. Will be happy if he can be anywhere near 2 min for the 800.
4. Likes to trash talk more than train.
5. Doesn't stretch, take performance enhancing drugs, practice starts out of the blocks or do plyos.
6. If entrant does any of the above listed in #5, then he does them badly and they probably hurt him more then help them.
In the event that his travel is a touch close to the 2pm race time then race time may be pushed back to accomodate him. The mystery runner is being allowed entry into the field under the "McKeeman rule" which allows the past winner one choice of entry into the field. McKeeman, training in Mammoth Lakes, CA at the moment chose not to comment as he was in a big poker hand at the Paiute Palace and didn't want to blow it.
#1 | HAHAHA. I LOOOVE HIM! please keep these coming.. reply |
