I was in PuntaCana (Dominick Republik) at the time and by pure luck and coincidence, i saw the entire race in a local pub which the locals were interested in this event (never seen men running so fast around a track) and Abdi looked good. He fought for at least 6 to 7,000 meters and then began to fade but not that badly (in contrast to Ritz and Galen (these guys got totally outclassed)But Abdi kept holding his own even in such conditions. Obviously, Abdi has been demonsrating for the past 4 to 6 months that he has gone to another level and now is a step or two steps ahead of most US runners (where they should be) Congratulations to you Abdi, I think you did well against that prince's of darkness Bekele, and others.

You ran admirably and showed a great deal of courage by sticking with the lead group and not dropping back early. Great job!!!
