Craig is a soph. I was with him before the race. Talking to him gingerly as if he probably didn't really know what he was getting into. I severely underestimated him based off of his look and demeanor. He didn't look like much of a runner till he started moving. He wasn't even really warming up, just kind of hanging out. His shoes were bright shiney DS Trainers. Lots of guys shave up and wear no show socks if any socks at all, Craig seems to be a more organic prodigy. You almost hope the kid gets a coach (or has a coach) that hands him a workout but nothing more. Sometimes too much running knowledge is a bad thing. Any smart runner would have abandoned the idea of running with such a seasoned vet as Bernard. Craig just went with his gut...and guts he seems to have.
