Well, this makes me feel old. I remember Dothel "Chuck" Edwards setting the record when I was a freshman in high school. Chuck was a junior in h.s. when he set it. I jumped with Chuck at UGA and though I'm sad to see his record fall I'm happy to see someone with the potential go after Sotomayor. Just look at how high his lead leg stays throughout the jump... wish I'd learned how to do that better!

I was jumping 4/10 in 5th grade. Im jumping 7/0 even. Squats, Jump Soles, and alot of practice.

Junior Breaks 25-Year High Jump Record, 7',5 3/4"

White cleared 7', 5 3/4" in the high jump Tuesday night at the Winnetonka Invitational. The leap broke a national high school record held for 25 years.
