yeah i don't follow hs track so i didn't know, just did some google work thanks jl. what else do you have your guys do Coach? Is it 2 workouts a week and the rest is just easy runs? I would like to get into coaching someday and I'm wondering how to get kids to come out for the sport. but i guess with your team's success you don't have a problem haha

what success have you had? I'm not trying to be an jackass, I really have no idea! :)
We've won a few meets over the years, had some Footlocker guys, a couple of NTN teams... but we're always looking to get better.

Um have you heard of Central Catholic or any runners who have ran there hmm? It is only one of the best Prep programs in the nation, not that that holds weight compared to the schools you are currently running from your mom's basement.

Not if you want to stay healthy and actually progress from season to season.
Thanks for your input.

What type of program have you run (or coached) in the summer? And how have the results been? I'm always interested in hearing how others go about their cross country season - and whether it's feasible for us to incorporate other ideas into our program.
Feel free to me e-mail me if you have some suggestions.

Nice Dave! this is great, good to see what's going on even when I can't make it to the workouts. Keep it up, hope to see you out there soon.

DUNIWAY JULY 10

July 11, 2009
A typical summer hill session.. some short stuff on the Duniway track followed by longer work on the Terwilliger hill - and more short stuff on the track. 3 x 300m @ 5km pace with 100m jog, jog 1/4 mile to base of hill, 6 x 600m on hill @ tempo pace, back to track for 3 x 300m again. Still missing some guys, but Andy had another good workout, Peter looked good, Cruz was good, Wasil is certainly further along than last year... Gabe had a sore calf partway through the hill work. Musa did 600s on the bark chip trail instead of the hill.
