And honest to Pete, if your kid can fall in a short race, get up, and still win running away, I mean, how much competition could there be? Talent, sure, but how about falling at the water hurdle, then a dozen more runners come flying over your back & landing on you - now THAT'S exciting!
As a video production, this piece is much better put together than most of the raw footage pieces. If the intent is to promote video depictions of trck & field, and ultimately to help promote them to outside fans, then the construction of a film is more important, and more useful in the long run, than what is ultimately no more than a "look at us" bragging clip. On that basis, this piece is already set up to hold interest, to entertain, to show much of the excitement of a long distance race that is admittedly difficult to sustain general fan interest in while it is running, and yet it accurately portrays much of what these runners go through. The technical aspects are more complex and better presented than many of the other pieces, and the topic clearly shows a love or understanding of the event. Based on those two criteria, how could you NOT vote for this?
Redd is possibly the biggest moron i've ever seen! He says that this video is boring, and he uses 1546 as an example of one that isn't!!! And after calling it only "people jumping over a hurdle barrier," I have to say that I dont think he's ever seen an actual track meet.
There is nothing mentioned in the rules about the video having to motivate people to run. It just says the best uploaded track or running video period. As for no story, the story I see is steeplechasers trying to overcome the falling into the water and the one guy a faceplant. If you are bored watching this video I'm not sure what you are smoking. As for satisfaction, get a woman for that not a video.

No...in what way does this video make you want to get out and train? This video only consists of people jumping over a hurdle barrier...no development...silly effects...theres no story here its a video that doesn't compare to coast to coast or 1546. It's really the problem with most of these videos there just isn't any sense of satisfaction after watching...just boredom.

How is this video not comparable? It could legitimately be the most well-made video on here. The contest is about creating the best running or track related video. Not random video capture from the stands. I'm talking to you "Comeback."
