I am so excited for you guys! I read some of the comments and it sounds like some people are jealous so just keep that in mind! I hope your dreams come true!
CCU and other people who feel they have to post comments like this on any of the videos....why??? What's the point? This video and the other 9 who are going on, must have meant something to a lot of people to have "made it this far". Budget you say? Budget's don't form team unity and friendships....character does that. Yes, there ARE 100's of cross teams with similar videos and similar stories, that's why so many can relate to this video and many of the other ones as well. Weak...it's only weak if you've not had the experience.
this is a pretty weak video to have made it so far...100s of cross country teams across the nation have similar videos (and half the budget you guys do)
I really enjoyed watching the video, I thought you did a great job on it. even though I was already proud, watching this made me even more proud of our cross country team
Oh Joe, Way to capture a moment and a season. I love you guys. I love running and competing. I love Malone CC and Jack Hazen. Seriously...my heart started beating faster. I wanted to jump out of bed and go for a run :) Nice.
Im sure some of them would say it too the creator's face.
And response to the Naia are a bunch of... comment assuming that comment was negative; naia will be the ones with all the track programs and all the xc programs when all the ncaa schools decide to give all their money to football and get rid of their track and xc programs. I also would guess in 10 or so years divII and divIII schools that dont have football will have the best programs with the fastest kids. Because your precious no naia schools can figure out how to fund the programs effectively.
could we just keep those comments to ourselves? Please? typing those comments are only turning others off to what you have to say.
think before you post...
This team has a great story to share here and it would be dishonest to exclude how integral their faith was to their experience. If this film has a Christian theme, it's because it was genuine for the people portrayed in it, not because they decided that you needed to be preached to while they were on the starting line at a national meet.
Hey man, remember...It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!
(I think some great boxer dude said that) Good luck. Hope you make it to China.
I can assure you the guy who made this video never intended it to become a forum for people to bash or put down one anothers beliefs. It's about running. He put it together as a tribute to his teammates, coaches and their families so they could look back on the incredible experience they had. So they pray...that's what they do. They also trained hard...ran hard...had a goal and accomplished it.
Don't make this about something it's not.
i agree with the last post. i think it is great that there is a video that glorifies God (i gave it votes) but also don't think voting for other videos makes anyone a worse person. it is good to keep a contest like this more objective than theological. let's not ruin the integrity of the contest by pointing condemning fingers at other users
i am going to have to disagree and potentially fire up a lot of people on here but not giving this particular video a 6 and giving another one votes doesn't mean you would be voting for satan. there are plenty of good videos (common thread, my fav so far) that are good videos and represent the spirit of the contest well. i believe that this video is good and does the same, but does not fly solo in this aspect.
wrapping it up, just because a piece of video fails to have God in its context does not necessarily mean it's against God.
is it by accident this religious video got top billing of opening day of voting? and is it an accident thta this religious video is kicking butt? No, it's no accident - it's the flying spaghetti monster!
I predict the great satan will fall. This video deserves to win if it's good or not. It's based on Christian values and for that reason alone it should be declared devine! Don't give the devil his due...vote for this video #1!
Don't transfer from season to season, I'm at Malone all the time and seeing all the All Americans they have had and being able to be coached by one of Malones All Americans in John Hopple for two years I think those results do transfer from year to year
Congratulations Malone on your 1st place victory! And to Freshman James Zeuch and Freshman Lindsey Pifher on a great year. Keep it up and good luck nest year.
am i a sinner for wanting people to stop posting comments like the one you just posted? i think not. saying things like "a vote for this video is a vote for Jesus" is ridiculous. we are voting for quality of storytelling, editing, etc - it isn't a "vote for Jesus" contest.
How about commenting on the quality of what's being presented here and leave comments out that encourage people to post unnecessary comments about ones beliefs. We are not to judge who is "better" than who. Let the video speak for it's self. It's about working hard...having faith...having a goal..and doing your best. This video captures that. Very nice. Good job.
Phantine,
Don't let these sinners rock your faith. Not only are born again people better runners, they are better people. Hide not your candle under a basket. A vote for this video is a vote for Jesus. PTL!
Comments like that, however much i might agree with them, are only begging for the jeers and criticisms of others. I'm not saying to deny your faith, just don't be so cheesily blatant with it...
Joe,
I'm continually amazed at your work. It's been such a privilege to watch you and the rest of your teammates claim glory for both our Lord and for our school by running. Keep up the great work, Joe!
hey, you can't discredit a person or team for giving all they've got, regardless of their level...isn't that all anyone can do? I'm sure someone out there could laugh at you too.
the video shows a team progressing through their season together. the fact that they put God into running is just something specific to their experience...DEFINITELY NOT putting it in anyone's face. as a runner, i was moved.
malone is definetly the best program in the country at whatever level you look at given its size....a david in a goliath field of competitors. praise be to God
This is an impressive film editorial --capturing the excitement of collegiate cross country -- as it leads the viewer from pre-season teammate camaraderie to the grass & mud challenges of competition, all within a fabulously orchestrated context of music and motion. A most artistic presentation by Joe Siebert !...and a huge congrats to the Malone program !!
For those reading comments and not understanding "whatev" and "tired" remarks, they were commenting on some negative ramdom posts which flotrack has removed. Thanks Flotrack for keeping this respectable.
Great video and message.
"Faith is to believe what you do not yet see; the reward for faith is to see what you believe".
Malone obviously understands that. Good Job!
That music is from the first Lord of the Rings movie. I thought it'd be fun to try and make our own version of that shot from the movie since we were in such a sweet location. Thanks for the props!
Joe, You did an AMAZING job! Watching this video brought back so many memories of when we ran together as a team (even though it was years ago). You are such a talented guy! The "3 peeps" still love you...

Greetings from Delaware, Joe, that was a great video, it brought tears to my eyes knowing that you are using your talents for the Glory of God and to see a fine group of young men and women run for the Lord and not just themselves. You all are a truly amazing team. Work hard, pray hard and keep the faith ...To the End.
Great Job, Joe, and the Malone CC Teams. Watching your video brought back fond memories of the CC meets at SV. How great to run for the Lord and Malone. Congratulations on a job well done!
Joe, Amazing video!! Malone is so lucky to have such a rich program full of unique opportunities and such talented athletes on both teams. The spirit of the Lord shines through each and every team member and the experiences everyone has had will last a lifetime thanks to your video! Keep up the great work!
This is a fine group of young men and women that has worked very well as a whole group to reach their goals. Isn't it to bad the whole world can't work as well as a team like this group has to make our world a better place to live. Super Video.
I tell you that this film sure brought tears to this old 70 year olds eyes. What dedication these young people have and to know that it is for the glory of God. How very awesome it was to watch. God bless you all! Keep up the wonderful work and know that God is smiling on all of you.
??????
oh wait, no it doesn't! next time be more constructive
It's best not to even comment on the negative stuff and let it go...it just encourages more.

too bad that wasn't the case for huckabee

or you're probably voting for obama!
wrapping it up, just because a piece of video fails to have God in its context does not necessarily mean it's against God.
Good Job Joe.
Your Wonderful Neighbor hahaha
money buys results. (but those results don't transfer from season to season)
natas...satan? OMG!!

Congrats to the Malone guys though.
