Dramatic finish at High School State Cross Country Championship

Does this seem like negligence, beyond extremely poor judgment? This kid could have had any number of things seriously wrong with him.

Medical personnel should have stepped in, that is why they are at races. Who cares if he doesn't finish a race that he is not going to score in. He is a tough competitor and I admire his desire to finish but it is not worth risking his life.

WTF!!! i would pick that kid up and help him across the line if were in that race. that's crazy!!!
