Funny how Ryan Brown and Amy Lia are reigning NCAA champions, his UW programs have improved immensely since he came there, and the men's cross country team placed 12th at NCAA's in 2006. That's pretty good for a coach that supposedly destroys his athletes.

Metcalf destroys anyone who runs for him. None of his athletes go anywhere, rarely do his runners improve much from high school.

Would anyone else just love to be coached by this guy? Real down to earth guy who knows the sport, and can obviously relate to his athletes well.
