Ulrey was 3rd (14:52 for 3 miles) his senior year in the Small Single A class at Illinois XC State... He finished behind Footlocker finalist Jeremy Stevens (Illinois), and Charlie Hatch who I believe is at Cornell now.

His profile on the Arkansas site notes that he transferred from Northern Iowa, so he redshirted the 08 XC season but in 07 he was 5th at the MVC championship.
In high school - Set the state record in the mile (4:09) and clinched two state championships ... Four-year varsity letter winner in track and three-year letter winner in cross country - probably single A.
He also represented the US at the IAAF 1500 in Berlin this past Aug.
Dorian looked/sounded so confident before the race, now I see why!
I didn't know Dorian was good XC runner? Couple questions...what his best XC race before this year (in college)?....and did he make it to the Illinois XC championships in HS?
Before the start...Alabama team was checking him out...there is that Dorian guy.
And I agree about the Ryan interviews. He is a great interviewer all around, it starts with his tone. Come on this is the NCAA's! I know he can't be everywhere. But some of the other interviews with the men were worse than horrible. As in not one redeeming quality. It wasn't just the questions but the interviewer has no idea how to lead a question or ask open ended questions, or to engage the subject and make them open up and speak freely and comforably. Sorry to go on but IMO this needs to be addressed!
Great run by a MILER! Nice run Ulrey. Watched you on UF's track just dominate the comp at SEC's last spring. With that hair growing out all curly, you need a might stache to match it. Let's see it.

seriously, you guys need to fire that other dude immediately, he's murdering the interviews, its completely awkward to watch them.
Good job Ulrey!
