Does the USATF send athletes to chase the standard? what are NCAA rules on this, does the university pay for student athletes travel and airfare?
What other student athletes are in this same position?
Lopez has run a B (3:36.70) and Manzano has an A (3:34.14)
IAAF states:
Each Member is entitled to enter two, three or four athletes per event, as follows:
- 1, 2, 3 or 4 athletes with "A" standard;
- 1 athlete with the "B" and 1, 2 or 3 athletes with the "A" standard;
in both cases a maximum of three athletes will be allowed to compete.
Each Member is entitled to enter two athletes per event who have both reached the "B" standard for that event but only one will be allowed to compete.
So unless Lomong feels like improving his time for kicks, Ulrey needs a 3:36. 20 to punch his ticket to Berlin.
Very impressive interview. I'm surprised to see how humble it seems Dorian has become. Clearly he still holds high respect for his former staff and teammates at UNI. He has matured a lot since his freshman year as a Panther. Keep it up Dorian and good luck in Europe hitting the standard!

He kept the faith and made the team...awesome.
