Day 2 - At the Track

The Track in Leuven is the training ground for the Americans, like Alan Webb and Amy Mortimer, The Kiwis, Irish and Belgium. It is quite a site to see all these athletes working out on a 6 lane track that has huge curves with hardly any straight aways. It is normal to see the athletes that are not working out to just hang out around the track just to watch the workout or pick up a watch and help time one. Check out the video and see what I mean.

Thomas qualified for both the 2004 & 2008 Olympic Trials (5,000m) and was a finalist at the 2008 Trials in the 5k. In 2008 Morgan won the NACAC XC title in Florida setting a new course record and set a new ZAP Fitness record of 13:27.4 for 5k on the track in Europe. Morgan has also run 22:36 for 8k. Thomas will focus on the winter xc season followed by a track season 5k.
