The guy in the blue on the cell phone in the background is German Steeple champ Filmon Ghirmai (pronounced Fill-mon Grrr-my). I had the chance to run with him in the spring/summer of '05 in Tübingen. Great guy! He trains in Flagstaff during the winter/spring. 8:20 steeple PR. I got to see him run 8:25 in Hengelo that year. Hallo Filly!

Awesome. It's wonderful to see Fasil make this change. He realized the difference between winning all the local races with 29-lows for the rest of his life and being competitive on the World stage at the highest level. No doubt, Fasil will run in the 27:30s at the trials. Keep it up, Sir. Your patience and dedication will be rewarded.
