I guess i used to dislike Alan Webb after viewing his post race interview from the 1,500 in osaka (when he died at the end and came in seventh). He came across as a whiner and even said that he "should have stayed home" because he "didn't learn anything." I was mad because i thought, "how can you not learn anything from a race?"
but this interview kind of showed me a different side of him. he seems like a nice guy, down to earth, and a good guy to train with.
good interview.

Great interview ! The higher interest in professional sports generates the higher price demand to see the games whether it's football, basketball, or baseball which is part of the reason why the league minimum can be set at $100K . The events in track and field may have to change or add some different type of events to keep the spectator interest. Need a great marketing strategy and promoter(s) to generate a larger interest in track and field (or running) for more professional runners (versus the few elite) to make money. Alan, best wishes on 2008 with making the Olympic team, making the Olympic finals, and having a right race to contend and win the GOLD medal in the 1500.
