"I don't know how my cell phone works, but it won't stop me from believing it works and using it as I understand it. Same for my TV. Same for my computer"
I haven't laughed so much in ages - if you hadn't noticed lots of people do know how they work and make them!

The constitution is freedom from religion- and of course I have no beef about people speaking their mind, but I would hope they could keep it to an appropriate audience. I am definitely afraid of people who blinding follow god and place all trust and faith in the intangible, its scary that anyone could be so obtuse to follow so passionately, something so outdated in todays progressive society. I can't believe how many people were immediately so defensive of their beliefs- I wasn't being negative, nor was I defending teen pregnancy, crime or any of the other outrageous claims made by responders- and if people want to waste their lives waiting for a second coming, that's fine- but don't preach about it on flotrack. please. and freddie, do you know what irrational means? It is acting deprived of reason, or believing a god created you in his image, instead of the other way around, believing you have a creator- when we have been evolved through incredible adaptability and selectivity to our environment, sorry to those who are to insecure and lonely to accept that we are here on our own, it's pretty special if you can get your head around it. Read Darwin or Hawking or Laplace for motivation, read the bible as a fairy tale written by mere mortals to explain phenomenon we couldn't understand 2000 years ago- and ask yourself what morality is.
It is Sun Devil. freedom of religion is related to religious toleration. I was trying to make a point...
Got anything more to say about the workout or running in general?
I thought it was Freedom OF Reglion.
Anywho.... My bet is on McHenry being the next sub-3:40 guy. Maybe not the first time he runs the 1500m but probably the second time out. He seems to be a quick study. What was it that the Ghost of Steve Scott called him?
"Ridiculously Natural"
Seneca Lassiter was a stud in his day for sure. On the HS level he dominated VA AAA Cross Country and had success in every middle distance and distance event. I ran against him a few times my senior year and got to meet him on a visit to Georgetown. He was a nice guy. He was equally ( if not more so ) successful at Arkansas in college.
"people like me"? you don't know me... bro. And I believe it's religion thats caused the mess of wars in the world today- not rational thinking and the use of our minds to have an original thought. Bethke is a great runner, it's to bad he doesn't give himself the credit for his hard work.
What's with all the god-talk in interviews lately? Can't people keep that to themselves??? Religious beliefs should be kept personal- or vocalized to an audience that cares..."
Can you not keep you non- beliefs to yourself? Obviously not.
This is a country where we have FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Just as you are aloowed to dis God, Bethke has a right to thank him and express his befiefs in how He made a difference in his life. If it were not for faith, I doubt they would be where they are today.
But, the interview wasn't about you now, was it? When you have your moment to be interviewed and have the chance to tell your story, you can tell them what we don't care to hear about. For now...you are stuck with listening to people like us.
Without God where would you be bro? I find it refreshing to hear people expressing their faith in god. It's tollerance of people like you who have society in the mess it's in today. Free country= freedom of religion and free speech. I think I read it in the constitution. You may want to check out that document sometime.

Hey, don't bash on my guy Mason. I saw him in high school as he went to Sehome in Washington. I would say 48, 1:56, 4:15 as a junior and 1:52, 4:12, 16:02 xc 5k as a senior are better than "alright."
His times in high school were alright, but his results in college so far suggest success comparable to Wheating (sans Olympics).
recovery=double time of interval.
4x400, 4x300
McHenry Workout:
3x400, 3x300, 2x200
