I've got one word for you... C O C K Y..... And I sure hope he was talking about a Team title cause he is good but not good enough to win an individual Title yet... Give him till his jr year and he can win the big show by himself.

(DEAR, DID YOU CATCH THE NCAA 1500 THIS YEAR?)

This guy ran his heart out and people are commenting on the interview. I'm glad I saw this race live. When youre tired anything comes out your mouth. This is one of the best HS races I've seen since Alan Webb. I wish him nothing but the best.

I'm just happy to have the honor of seeing this champion achieve this set of goals. Thanks to those who posted your videos. I have also had the opportunity to meet Fernandez as his substitute teacher. He really is as nice as he seems. He is friendly and down-to-earth, and even humble for a guy who has earned his confidence and my respect. I look forward to his achieving his collegiate goals, and hopefully see him in the Olympics someday.

Oh yeah, there's no good reason why he can't be the next freshman to win NCAA XC. Bob Kennedy did it and Adam Goucher took second as a freshman. It may not be something to bet on but it's certainly in the realm of possibility.

This guy isn't a y guy. Of guys I've seen break major records or win major races, German seems maybe the most humble and down to earth about it as I've ever seen. It's part of how I know he has a huge future. He broke a legendary, long-standing record but he doesn't look like he thinks he deserves it, or the accolades that come with it. I sense that he feels there is still endless work to be done. He has the heart of champion!

haha and people bash AJ for his "y" interviews... look at this guy... seemed like he didn't even acknowledge puskedra, lowe, and finnerty were in his race.

The kid is ridiculous. If he is healthy for 08 Cross, I will predict that he will finish in the top 6. What is the highest a freshman has finished in cross at NCAA's?
