What a tough week to pick the best race. Seeing 2 high schoolers split 1:49 and another 2 split 1:50 was amazing with 2 teams uner the HSR and another under 7:40. Pett's leg closing on Hernandez in the 4x8. The sick 15/8 doubles at Oregon. Price seems to finally be getting back to where she was in HS running 3 great legs for Tenn.

Tasty Race of the Week (Apr 27)

April 28, 2009
This week's Tasty Race of the Week comes from the Brutus Hamilton Invite at Cal where the men's 10k was hot! Sam Chelanga of Liberty ran down one of the most impressive records in the NCAA as he better Galen Rupp's mark (27:33) with his 27:28 en route to the victory. Close behind was Colis Birmingham who too took down a record as he became the fastest Australian over 10,000 meters.

This year's Chelanga/Rupp saga continues as we await to see what the two will run at NCAAs. For now, Sam is entered to run the 5k this weekend at the Payton Jordan Invite at Stanford. Rupp is entered in the 800.

Watch the full record setting 10k here.
