If it's your first time running a downhill mile I dont think it helps too much. 4min miler prob gets 2-3 secs f its his first time.

It goes downhill at the start and for the first quarter. Then it bottoms out and goes uphill on the bridge for the last quarter to the finish. The whole course is a straight shot across 3 lanes of road. Very cool.
