Every body take it easy, that is a fellow alumni of mine (Westerville North). On another note, I know you are all jealous of my Bob Kennedy autographed Zoom Kennedy's and Indiana University Cross Country t-shirt. Bob truly is a class act and was the man that got American distance running back on its feet.

Bob Kennedy was overated during his period. Steve Holman was just as good, just did not receive as much sponsorship. Also, Kennedy was very selfish. Did you see him train with others like the guys of today.

Someone needs to give this guy a position of power in the running community.

Bob continues to be a leader in american distance running despite his retirement from comp. running. It is a shame that Nike dropped him but Puma has stepped up. Bob has always been a thinking man's runner - very analytical in approach and will go down in history as one of the best if not the best in US history. His attitude was always to push the limits of not only US running but running on a world class level and I should know as his college roommate.

Carlos,
I only pointed out the shirt because I would have thought Nike would have kept Kennedy like the other retireed Nike greats.

When you train like a world class distance runner... you have to eat like one.

When you stop training like a world class distance runner... you have to stop eating like one. That is harder than it sounds. It is very easy to gain weight after you stop that level of training.

He looks more like a football player not a runner. Has he gained a lot of weight or what?

He was a puma athlete when he retired, he is probably still "sponsored" by them. This was probably filmed in April/May this year.
