Great race!
Terrence received the most votes (48), Mark had 38 votes and the lowest average predicted time (1:58.7). Yewer got 17 votes so obviously has the best poker face.
Kastor got had only 18 votes to win so his ice ploy threw most off the trail. "Unionrun" was close with Kastor to win in 2:00.22 (.52 seconds high). I haven't found anyone closer than my (admitted guess) of 1:59.21 (0.49 seconds low). Maybe someone on the videos got it closer but I don't think so.
Oh yah, "State U" had Kastor ahead of the other 3 named runners in 1:59.8x but placed his bet on the Mystery man (no show) for the win...
Mark you're the judge but I'm thinking T-shirt! I take large.

No doubt Terrence is fit, but can he outlast Mark's speed? My money says no. Andrew is the darkhorse, but I did see him shopping for some Aquarius the other day so he'll at least be well-hydrated. Brad, well... I know he had a great (shoeless?) training camp recently, and he talks a big game, but I think he'll struggle the last 150.

Hate to bet against my own Bro, but I think even I have a faster 800 PR than him (and that ain't saying much believe me)...so:
1. Kastor and Flotrack founder for the virtual tie in 1:58.9(Kastor with official win because Deena will probably be the finish line official).
3. Terrence: 1:59.1
4. Yewer: 2:02.3

I should pick Mark the Waffle King. That practice with Kim Smith was really impressive. Mahon looked a bit tired after his 2.03/800 pacing job in Brasschaat and that was in ideal conditions. Not quite sure what the others can do, but waffles are good fuel to run fast :-)

Day 19 - The 800

April 22, 2009
Flotrack Lueven 800 Video is Here.

The Leuven 800 - July 27th at 14:00 the highlight of the summer! Some people think I came over just to get Alan Webb's race at history, but that is not the case. I came over to Europe for one reason, the Leuven 800. Terrence Mahon has been talking a lot of trash since we met in Boston for the marathon. Andrew Kastor has been keeping it low key with secret workouts in the middle of the night and Brad Yewer forgot to take his training shoes to Greece. Anyway the race is on Friday and I want your guys predictions. Who do you think is going to win and in what time? Talk to you guys later.

If you get the winner and are the closest with the time I will send you a Flotrack shirt.
