Despite the tragic irony behing him hating the sport, I don't think he explanations fares well as a proffesional athlete. People look up to this guy and he has just admitted that he doesn't really care for track and would rather the american cliche' we all know as football. It is almost like getting slapped in the face when an icon tellls you what you are doing is not worth doing. Because the truth is most athletes in America has never run his high school time (1:53). So for him to run that fast and even faster in college and still express his hate, one has to wonder why do the sport at all. KD is not America's greatest. I'm pretty sure you give it four years and his name will be lost in history. And why else do we run but to preserve our name. He even admits his self that he really got into track after his sought interview. That is not loving track; that is loving fame. KD is what is wrong with the few athletes who have natural talent. They face this horrible identity crisis in wanting to be the best, but they have an obligation to the sport with the speed God(or evolution) has bestowed. This interview is probably a high point in his career. His interview is a disgrace to the running community. I would love to sit one-on-one with KD and just tell him to give up. Blimey blope does not care; isn't that fast as a proffesional athlete; what is he trying to accomplish? I hope he does not have olympic dreams. It is dispecable for a guy this age to continually push his body to 1:45 shape. Go back to that grad school you want to go to, KD. Make a decision you would soon be happy with, KD. Most important, leave Flotrack, KD. No one enjoyed this. Where is my WOW? Henceforth all ratings to your video will be bottom mark.

Regardless, KD is the man, and by far my favorite 800m runner. That amount of emotion and intensity is what everyone should strive for. Good luck in Berlin!
