#6	PJ January 19 at 6:41pm He doesn't give a great interview but I disagree that he seesm bitter. If you listen he holds Sell up as the best example of a guy that never screws up a race...but then again Sell never goes for a miracle race either. What Ian doesn't seem to get is that if you're the kind of guy that goes for it, then it's just part of the game when it blows up in your face... Go back and watch that "Day 8" video (at the right)...he's a good guy. reply

#4	Anonymous Coward January 18 at 9:30pm yeah i agree... he seems a little bitter. be patient and understand that everyone has a not so good day every once in a while. dobson is a good runner, he just needs to be patient and not get worked up about this race. go get those guys at the cross championships coming up. also, understand that everyone races differently and there is no right/wrong way to run a race. everyone has a their own style, a style that can get them to the finish line faster than the person next to them. good luck in 09. reply
#3	Jay January 18 at 3:00pm I watched the interview twice and I don't think he's bashing Sell, Gotcher or Carlson. He's just simply stating how frustrating it is to know that he can be up there if not a little quicker than those guys especially time-wise and to get beat by them is frustrating...He's certainly not ragging on those guys though. reply
#2	Used To Be A Dobson Fan January 18 at 2:00pm I used to be a Dobson fan, but after this interview he sounds like a bitter ass hole. Everyone else was just better than him today there's not any other reason. Like someone wise once told me, either "be bitter or get better" reply

Bio:	Ian Dobson had a dream season in 2005 where everything seemed to be clicking. Ian and his Stanford teammate Ryan Hall dominated the US 5k. Ian and his Stanford teammate Ryan Hall dominated the US 5k. First Dobson and Hall took the top spots at the NCAA championships in Sacramento. Next, he finished second at the US championships with a time of 13:15.33, which qualified him for Worlds. At Stanford, Ian earned nine All-American honors and finished runner-up twice. Dobson holds the Stanford school record for the steeplechase with a time of 8:32.09. Dobson presently trains in Mammoth Lakes California under Terrence Mahon along side Ryan Hall among others.
