Janel Olberding, only a sophomore, had a gusty weekend. After this great race she had to battle through pain to run the 200 and anchor her school's 4x400, so this race couldn't go unmentioned...
(and yes I give an intense yell, so watch out for that)

Jenny Barringer
Tasty Race of the Week (June 8)July 27, 2009 Jenny B is at it again....fast races, breaking records. She has been on a roll all year and this past weekend was no exception. Barringer finally raced women, and some of the best around. If you didn't get to watch the race on TV you definitely missed out, but lucky for your Jenny B's 1500 is this week's Tasty Race of the Week!
Jenny became the 3rd fastest American of all time and only the 4th US woman to break 4:00. She was about 6 seconds under the NCAA record of 4:05.
Check out Jenny's post-race interview.

About Ryan's stache - for those of you who have not been following it, YES that thing is real...real nasty!
we love it!!!!!
dan, why don't you go kiss mark or something... we all know you two would make a great couple with your manly love for each other...
I'm not sure what you are talking about, but take it easy.
JennyB is so exciting to watch! Can't wait for her next race!
And to "Poopie", below: I was wondering what happened to Rowbury, too, but then I realized she still ran like 4:03 high! I think it's just that Jenny made everybody else look like they got smoked!
P.S. Mark, recently after a run I happened go straight to a local bar where I ordered a Sam Adam's White Ale on tap. Seriously the most refreshing post-run beverage I've come across. Give it a try.
THAT STASH!
Agreed! Can't we just get the Flotrack guys to do all nationally broadcasted commentary from now on?? They mentioned Shalane ONCE in passing, didn't mention Jenny B until they saw her setting the last 100 on fire, nor did they mention the budding rivalry between Jenny B and their "stand out - featured" athlete, Anna Willard. And in the 2k event, they failed to mention the fact the Kara Goucher took podium finishes at NY & Boston Marathons recently (kinda relevant for how she'll race shorter distances now-a-day), and I don't even think they mentioned Sally Kipyego's name. Get a clue - commentators. A mere 10 minutes of reseaching before hand would have saved them from sounding like such a$$-monkeys!
I love Flotrack... Flotrack for President, 2012!!!!
