- See Less -On August 17th Jenny Barringer broke her own American Record in the 3k Steeplechase running 9:22.26 while finish 9th in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. Barringer first claimed the record when she surprisingly outkicked Anna Willard in Heusden (
Race Vid HERE). Jenny was the 2007 USA Steeple champ and the runner-up to Willard at the 2008 US Olympic Trials. Barringer was also the NCAA champ in 2006 and 2008 (set NCAA record at that time at Drake). In 2006 and 2007 Jenny was the runner-up at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. She was also named USATF Athlete of the Week twice in 2008 (6/18/08 & 7/23/08).
If you're talking about Jordan Hasay, then you're so wrong. She's definitely a Duck!
actually, i know for a fact that she is still at stanford. my friend has a class with her.
Thank You! Much more realistic possibility. Thanks for some "real" input.
although terribly interesting to talk about, was incorrect! The End.

Ah! Someone who hasn't actually picked up on the rumor yet. It appears she has left Stanford for Cal, won't be running this year because of the move, and it may involve Mike Coe at Cal. That's the "unofficial" answer.
I would love to see Flotrack catch up with Laurynne and/or Mike and put the rumor to rest. That could be kind of the scoop of the season! If it's all true, that would be very cool. Stanford's number one runner, Cal's new school record holder, together for sure???
Where is Laurynne Chetelat from Stanford? I dont' even see her on their school website under X Country or Track and Field.
