#1	Mike Mather December 25, 2009 at 6:38am From YouTube, "Meet Kara and Adam Goucher, your friendly neighborhood kick-ass distance runners!" She's everywhere on video. Watching many distance runners, typically, as they peak from time to time through their various seasons, they begin to look almost anemic. They've lost so much weight and look thin in the face, almost unhealthy. Not so with Kara. A picture of health. That's my question to Kara. Is there really such a thing as a corn-fed Mid-western girl? Apparently so! reply

Its not everyday that you get a behind the scenes look at one of the best athletes AND coaches in the world. However Alberto Salazar opened his group's doors to Flotrack for an inside look at one of the world's best marathoners, Kara Goucher, before one of the biggest races of her career in the Boston Marathon. The 20-Mile PreBoston workout took place at the campus of Nike HQ in Beaverton, OR. Kara went on to place third at Boston, getting outkicked in the final stages in one of the most exciting races of the year. Thanks to Alberto and Kara and all the best in 2010!
