I heard he made the state qualifying marks for nine events, but he could only enter five, so he could have scored at least seventy-odd points by himself at the New Mexico state meet.

technically he only won 5 events since that's all he can do but getting 35 points by yourself is pretty impressive, let alone doing it multiple times like he did.

To think he still has a boy's upper body ! I can't wait for the 2012 Olympics. Barring injury that may be the first of many for Curtis.... abosolutely amazing! Great video coverage as well.

And to think that he still has the body of a distance runner...

Just imagine... He has so much room for strength and even more endurance. As amazing as he is now, he still has an unbelievable amount of potential, especially in the field events. What sets him apart from the other decathletes is that he was originally a distance runner. Beach will do big things in the future. He's going to be an Olympian, if not a medalist. Mark my words.
