OK here comes a really silly question. If this is a 200m track, why is the inside bunch of guys starting well befor the finish line?

Sorry I was harsh. I just expected that Flotrack knew more about Reid. It's microcriticism. Thank god for flotrack.

there were soooo many athletes there and the races go off as soon as the last one is done so it's not like they even had time to check over things.

Quigley's last 800m was in 2:02. He's ranked 5th in the mile (nationally), 1st in the 3k, and will probably drop a sub 13:40 when he runs the 5k in Seattle. He will earn 30 pts in the A-10 meet. He has to be considered a serious threat for an NCAA title and a possible Olympic bid in the 10k. Look at all the good runners Charles Torpey has produced in the past 25 years at the University of Maryland and LaSalle. More importantly, what has Maryland done since Torpey left. Maryland is the laughing stock of the ACC in XC and Distance running. In between, he won a Maryland State Championship in track for good measure. No coach in the country has done more with less. He doesn't recruit foreigners or high school blue chippers like O'Sullivan at Villanova and Byrne from Iona. If Torpey had a program with the athletic resources as Penn State, he would beat Wisconsin and challenge for the National Championship in XC, Indoor, and Outdoor.
