But hey, he's one of the only Oregon runners along with Wheating who seems to be cool. I think he's probably be a good contender next year, he needs to go to XC first, those Trujillo brothers have been upstaging him in XC the past 2 seasons. Remember AJ was the FL national champ in '05 reply
#12	WOW June 15, 2008 at 12:21pm hes pissed? he was never in the race... he was middle to back of the pack the whole time and then hes gonna get pissed cause of the other guys trying finish strong? this guy is not worthy of any sympathy from me. he should have ran in the front (then id listen to him maybe), if he thought he had a chance to win... i dont believe i ever saw him take the lead once in that race, or even try for that matter. this guy is crazy, i dont see how anyone can put up with him... reply

June 14, 2008 at 10:17pm looked like bumbalough got the worst of it to me... sounds like this kid is makin excuses. i never really thought he was in the mix at all when watching the race and i never considered him. nothing against his ability, he just didnt look like he was having that great of a race from the gun, maybe it just wasnt his day or maybe it was the competition... reply

Bio:	While at El Camino High School, Acosta won the 2005 Foot Locker National Championships, 2006 NON 2-Mile, and 2006 U.S. Junior Championships 1,500 meters to earn a spot on Team U.S.A. for the Junior World… + See More + While at El Camino High School, Acosta won the 2005 Foot Locker National Championships, 2006 NON 2-Mile, and 2006 U.S. Junior Championships 1,500 meters to earn a spot on Team U.S.A. for the Junior World… + See More - See Less - While at El Camino High School, Acosta won the 2005 Foot Locker National Championships, 2006 NON 2-Mile, and 2006 U.S. Junior Championships 1,500 meters to earn a spot on Team U.S.A. for the Junior World Championships. He also won California state titles in cross country and track in his senior year. At Oregon, Acosta defended his U.S. Junior 1,500m title. As a Duck, he has earned All-American distinctions multiple times and broke Steve Prefontaine's school mile record. Acosta ran the 1,200 leg of Oregon's NCAA Championship DMR in 2009 and has been on two NCAA Championship teams (2007 XC and 2009 Indoor).
