CG, that post rings true like you wouldnt believe. Heres my two cents and its borrowing from 2 no 3 posters...I already mentioned the first, Rob tells it true also 'run a mile in his shoes' and finally..Truth..fallen? I dont think so. -505-

he had his moments (Europen tour) but never really made it. Not strong enough for the 800 or 1500 and very inconsistent.

David is a trooper.He has'nt fallen anywhere.It just was'nt in the cards.Maybe he overtrained,maybe not enough rest. Who knows but David.Noone else should speculate or put an athlete down,until you run a mile in his shoes. No pun intended.

The 800 is always a strange event when it comes to qualifying. They don't take 12 like the 1500 and up but it is a long enough event where tactics can come into play in semis and such. You see more surprises in the 800 qualifying rounds than you will in any other event. Thats why the best don't always win championship meets.
