American distance running is catching up to African running, but we still have a way to go, mainly because those guys do workouts that we would call insane in conditions that are even more insane (heat, humidity, altitude). We need to lose some of the political correctness in our training if we want to give the Africans a run for their money. Gabe is absolutely correct!
