I am in love! I, too, am an 800 runner at a D3 school and am studying to be a doctor like him. I don't care what anyone says, he's a hero to me.

What you need is more "speed to burn".Try intense deep water running to gain both strength and flexibility and to prevent pounding and over stress injuries.Example:try to tread water with your hands up and out of the water for longer and longer periods of time, use buoyancy(sp?)devices to "perfect" and enhance form and technique, and work on holding your breath while swimming under water for longer and longer periods of time...this will help you to deal with the discomfort and "suffering" that comes to every runner, and last remember I know you're mighty enough to take that gold...take it Nick

I know you're "fast" dude but you better get your sprinting and endurance sprinting speed up if you want any hope of beating the world's best 800 runners...giving up 10-12 meters to guys who can run 45-46 sec.400's and trying to run 'em down in the last 80 meters(as great as I believe your "heart" and guts are) just isn't gonna cut it...you're not likely to be able to do a "Dave Wottle" finish on the types of hombres out there these days Nick.

Surprised he did such an easy workout. Good video. It just goes to show that all these guys are just like us. They're not doing any "secret" workouts or anything. Just normal people.

This is the stuff most of us wanna see. The behind the scenes prep for the big European meets and championship races. Most of us see the races, but never see how they got there. Thank You Flocast for letting us experience most of the European circuit and behind the scenes. You Guys ROCK!
