Michael RodgersMichael Rodgers ready for USA ChampionshipsJune 21, 2009 Before this season Michael Rodgers was known for his indoor 60 meter races. He made it to the Indoor World Championships in 2008 where he finished 4th. This year Rodgers is on a roll in an event that everyone knows, the 100 meters. At both the Reebok Grand Prix and Prefontaine Rodgers grabbed the top spot in under 10 seconds, a barrier that he had not broken until this year. With Tyson Gay not having run the 100 yet this season, Rodgers will be going into the USATF Championships ranked #1 in the US and #2 in the World (Bolt currently #1 at 9.77).
