Coach John Cook took his athletes to new heights in 2008 and helped create excitement for the world of track and field in the US. Congrats to Coach Cook and all his athletes on a great 2008!

Thanks for the clarification. I think this should be stated more clearly in each video and upon the title of the awards because it's not clear how this is exactly presented.
Favor does have the American junior record though.
as for a bias on US distance running, its not that there is a bias. our awards more speak to what we have covered and where we have been. hopefully we can continue to do more and travel to other places.

IMO there was no one else close.
1-2-3 in the women's 100m at the Olympic Games, 1st in the women's 400m hurdles, 3rd in the women's 200m. And then Powell can run brilliant anytime it's not a championship final.
Not even close. Not sure what the basis of Flotrack's selections are here. It seems to be just U.S. distance running, perhaps. But best coach of the year among all track & field....please.
I can't wait to see what these talented ladies achieve in 2009!
