Did you see that guy walk by in the video, at about the 3:35 mark? Is having your crank out there for everyone to see needed? WOW!

I'm no where even close to the talent Tim Broe is but I understand the comment about relaxing and having fun. Why would we run if we weren't having fun? Why is it such a big deal that he talks with his friends in the middle of training? If it gets to the point as a professional runner that the stress of reaching certain times and goals to keep your shoe contract causes you to lose all pleasure in an activity you used to enjoy it just becomes a job that you hate. I hope he recharges and gets healthy again.

biff minion, stfu, if all you do on your runs is stare into space and run like a zombie, you're probably a crappy team-mate. There's nothing wrong with having fun while training.

Bagger, the REAL story is very simple. Tim went to eat pizza and see a movie with a friend of his that lived in the san diego area. Because he did not show up at the athlete dinner and thus broke the agreed upon rules, he was sent home....stupid if you ask me. But that's why he didn't get to run.

Rumor Has It...   August 21, 2007 at 12:32pm
The rumor about Footlocker Nats and being sent home was that he went down to Mexico and partied. This was before race day obviously.

Does anyone know why Broe was sent home from Foot Locker Nats in HS? He refers to that in the movie "5000m, Nothing Comes Easy" but no details are offered.
