I saw this clown training at 7 with some hanson brooks guys. Hanson's out in flagstaff to. I wish he was going to be there at the finish line within the top 3 but all his workouts where at 7:00 pace.

Thanks Curtis for refocussing things on the race...I think there will be at least one big surprise in the top three since the field is deep, the course is hard and it's been a long racing season for some of the favorites. Peter seems to have a decent outlook on his chances...best of luck to him.

I also agree that the video could use some constructive criticism. But my main reason for commenting is that Im wondering what kind of chances people think the chances are of Peter placing top three. Personally I think Peter is great but I dont see it happening, if the race goes like he thinks it will, it would require a PR from him on a very difficult course.

I think PJ makes some valid points. This video is okay, but it suffers by comparison with Kevin Selby's work, which is so much more dynamic and interesting.

Wharton reminds me of Will Farrell as Ricky Bobby talking with his hands.

IS THAT A FAULT LINE TRACK CLUB SHIRT? FTC forever. Will Patch should be on flotrack.

Loved hearing Peter's thoughts going into the trials. Thanks for that!
I'm sure Phil and Mike are great people but their camera presence is too heavy handed and I feel it distracts from what should be the core: the runner, the race. Mark and Kevin have had great success when the athletes are the focus of the video and are in their element (at the track, preferably fresh from a run, chatting with Manzano WHILE he was running was brilliant!). The talk show format may not do full justice to the athletes or the sport, or Flagstaff...it's worth considering a change. I imagine Flagstaff is beautiful...how about showing it off? Thanks again for the interview but there has to be some room for constructive criticism.

I can't believe there are complaints on here. These guys are all donating their time and lives to the fans. That is WEAK!
Thanks for the interview!

This is not meant to be ESPN, people. Flotrack is awesome, accessible insight into the training and lives of distance runners. This interview with Gilmore is great.

Could this interview have been done in more amateurish fashion? I think not.
