Not only did they turn the program around during their four years, they also destroyed the Ivy League record books. During the twins Four years at Yale, Katie was the first female athlete to win the Heps 5k three straight times and Laura did the same in the 10k. Both Katie and Laura were named Outstanding Preformer at the 2003 Hep Championship, where they finished first and second in the 3,000, 5,000 and the 10,000. Both Katie and Laura earned three All-American honors their senior year; Laura finished 13th in cross, fifth in the 5k indoor, and fourth in the 10k outdoor. Katie was runner up three times her senior year in cross, the 5k indoors and the 10k outdoors. In 2004 Katie made the Olympic team in the 10k. |
